What is a TENS Device?
Since the mid-1970s, doctors, chiropractors and physical therapists have used TENS technology to treat body pain. Typically, TENS units deliver MILLICURRENT signals.
Conventional TENS machines shock your nervous system causing the brain to temporarily shut down necessary communication between your brain and the injured area. The high current causes a temporary block to the pain signal and delays healing. Once the stimulation is removed, the pain quickly returns.
MICROCURRENT TENS devices are more effective, potent, and long lasting due to the amount of current delivered into the body. Microcurrent TENS devices differ because they deliver gentle electrical impulses similar to our body’s natural communication system. These impulses stimulate the A, B, and C nerve fibers. Neuropeptides such as nitric oxide, endorphins, and natural opiates are released. The result is long-lasting, drug-free pain relief and tissue healing.
